NWAGA has announced that Norfolk's Julie Hall is the organization's 2024 Player of the Year. Hall finished atop NWAGA's season-long point standings, reserved for NWAGA members, and based on results in gross divisions of NWAGA tournaments and Nebraska Golf Association Championships.
Hall earned the low gross titles in three NWAGA Events in 2024. Partnering with Debbie Wilbeck of Omaha, the pair won the NWAGA Four-Ball at Meadowlark Hills. Hall claimed two more NWAGA Championships in August winning both the 49ers Eclectic and the NWAGA Scramble. Hall and her partner Julie Riewer or Norfolk, claimed a 1-shot victory in the 49ers Eclectic at Southern Hills in Hastings. Two-weeks later, Hall and her Scramble partners from Norfolk, Portia Becker, Michele Gill and Riewer, fired at two-day total of -15 under par to win by 2 strokes at York.
Hall also placed 4th at the Nebraska Women's Senior Amateur Championship at Oak Hills Country Club in June.
The NWAGA Player of the Year Award was created in 2021 when the Nebraska Women's Player of the Year Award transitioned to the Nebraska Golf Association. To access the point system and standings link to the Point Standings section under the Competition tab.
