NEBRASKA FINISHES TIED FOR SECOND AT 56TH GIRLS’ FOUR-STATE

Nebraska finished tied for runner-up honors with Kansas Tuesday at the 56th Girls' Four-State Matches, two and a half points behind Missouri. After trailing by a single point following Four-Ball and Foursomes matches Monday, Nebraska managed only two points in Singles matches out of a possible six. Isabella Elgert of Lincoln won her match against Hannah Pettitt of Iowa 3 & 2, while Naryn Kim, Lincoln and Olivia Lovegrove, Lincoln both tied their matches. Missouri claimed their first Four-State win since 2018 when the event was a team stroke play competition. To view complete results link to the scoring tab above. The Girls' Four-State Matches, conducted annually, consist of Four-Ball, Foursomes and Singles matches, all worth a single point. Since making the transition to a team match play format in 2019, Nebraska has won three times (2019, 2021 & 2022), Kansas twice (2020 and 2023) and Missouri once (2024). Members of Team Nebraska included Elgert, Kim, Lovegrove, Julia Karmazin of Elkhorn, Eden Larson of Lincoln and Madison Murnan of Omaha
